HOW TO BECOME ACCREDITED BY THE INSTITUTO CERVANTES?
By signing a legal accreditation document with the Instituto Cervantes, whereby the centre needs to provide a favourable dictum that testifies to the compliance of established technical and academic criteria, required in order to work in this sector. To obtain the dictum, the centre should undergo a comprehensive evaluation. To maintain the accreditation, centres agree to periodic evaluations (every three years) to demonstrate that they are complying with the conditions that they have been assessed on. Students that study in a centre accredited by the Instituto Cervantes are choosing a centre that:
- Meets all legal requirements in order to offer teaching services.
- Provides a curriculum that guarantees adequate progress in student learning.
- Has a team of well qualified teachers.
- Follows a methodology adapted to the needs of the students.
- Regularly evaluates courses and programs.
- Promotes student participation in the DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera/ Diploma of Spanish as a foreign language) examination within the centre, or at an official DELE examination site.
